G'day guys,
My Dad posted me a Binkman smoker for Christmas and I am fast enjoying this new hobby, now spending my weekends sitting next to the smoker with a box of ice cold beers next to me.
I am an aussie but living in Indonesia, so if there is any smokers in my area, would love to compare notes with you.
So far I have smoked pork and beef ribs, chickens, salmon, brisket and so far so good.
The salmon especially (based with whisky and honey) came up a real stunner.
Ive been reading this forum for quite some time and now feel it might be an idea to sign up.
The other day started reading a book on smoking (Low and Slow - GarryWiviott) and in just the first chapter have picked up some really good tips that have already proven themselves (lighting the smoker correctly for a start and not soaking the timber !)
Thank you all in advance for the great advice I have been reading here.
Cheers
Shane
