Hey all,

New to the forum and new to smoking meat. I've had a Weber gas grill for years and cook really well with it so decided to get me an early Father's Day gift today. I went with the budget minded Brinkman Trailmaster. I know it's not the best, but once I master this perhaps I'll sell it on Craigslist and get a better one. But from the reviews I read this is a decent smoker for $300.00.

I'm in Fort Worth Texas and sitting out here with a glass of expensive bourbon and doing an initial cure.

Tomorrow I'm going to try my first smoke and start with spare ribs. I want to get used to it before I try a brisket.

Regards,
David
