Hi, I live in Oklahoma and just bought a Masterbuilt smoker 40" with remote and meat probe. I am seasoning it now. I have never smoked anything before. What is the best for a beginner to start out with?

If you are looking for a short smoke for your first a whole chicken or some chicken thighs are always cheap and tasty. If you're looking for something that will take some time and is hard to mess up then a pork butt is the way to go.
