Nothing special going on for New Years but wanted something we could snack on throughout the day. Started out with some Cheddar and Lil Smokies, Jalepenos, and Bacon.

We rolled some up with the jalapenos and some without for the kiddies.

Finally a dash of some garlic salt and alot of brown sugar. Got to clean the smoker out and get it ready now!

I'm Hungry!

Update: Decided to add some chicken so I'm in the process of doing the brine. Then gonna throw it on.

Here's a pic of whats going on inside the smoker.

And here's the final pic. Man they taste awesome. Little bit of heat with some sugar and I'm loving it. Wife likes em, kids like em. Good!

Heres my first run with some chicky to. Tasted pretty good. Cant wait to try it again.

Clean the smoker out?

Do you clean the entire unit or just the grates, just wondering because wehn I first started smoking I would clean the entire inside of the smoker before every single smoke until I found out that you only need to clean the grates and should allow the seasoned coating be.

I like the jalapeno wrapped in them, will be a nice kick to go along with the smoke and sweetness of the sugar.

Yeh i just meant the old burnings and the grates. I give the grates a quick cleaning before i put anything on them to. I leave the rest of it alone for the seasoning as you said. It's a little charbroil jr that I bought at walmart that i use in the winter time when I don't want to fire up the electric, or the grill, or the other smoker, lol, etc.

Those look great. I have to agree; the jalapenos are a great touch.

I have never smoked any of those but I have added them to Abt's alot of times. I just think that you need a little meat with the jalapenos it helps out the flavor for me. Now to cleaning the grill grates I do that everytime I start a new smoke and only then.
