I was just wondering what everyone's plans are for New Years Eve/New Years Day.  Even with the temps around the country, it will be a good day for smoking.  Just get your smoker going, sit back and watch football.

Perfect day for ribs. You can sleep till noon. Fire up the smoker & get the ribs on by 1:00, eat at 7:00.

Drink beer & watch football while you tend to the smoker.

Well right now going to Al's house sounds the best to me.

Will be smoking something for sure NYE.

Heading south on the first. Dropping off her son in Tifton then on to St Pete.

Visit my parents grave site then back up to the panhandle area.

We are great guests if any of you want us to stop and eat!!!

hahahahaha

I've started a mini tradition - grill a ribeye about 2300 NYE and eat it with black eye peas, collards and a nice single malt (this year its Tompkin 25 years old)

Then for New Years, it's a pork shoulder on the WSM with more peas, collards and baked beans.

Now that sounds like my kind of eating.

Can I come over?

I got out voted and slapped down with lasagna

I feel so deprived.  I may slip into a coma brought on by severe withdrawal

I will be doing a  paella cooked in my plow disc wok  for New Years Eve and hopefully the weather will co operate tomorrow so I can smoke a fattie for breakfast. We will be in our motorhome at the beach in San Diego so no matter what it will be a good day
