Hi my name is Scott been checken this site out for a while. I live in Lancaster P.A. I just picked up my new smoker GOSM big block, I also have a char griller W-side box, Weber gold, and two chicken grills 20 and 40. Lots of toys but not much knowledge. But I hope to change that, with all the good info on here. WELL off to the basement to put the thing together.
 
First off welcome Scott to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.

Here's a link to photobucket it's free and easy to download pictures. Then if your really new to smoking Look up the E-course.

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.

How to post Qview to Forum:

When you uploading to Photobucket I always use the Large IMG setting, 640 x 480 it is a nice size...

Everyone here enjoys seeing the Qview so be sure to post plenty of pics...

Large ones that us old people with bad eyes can see.

Hey Scott..boy did you ever pick an addicting hobby....your gonna love it here lot's of fun and information so don't be afraid to ask. i also have the GOSM big block and it performs every bit as well as i expect it to you will be very happy with it.. i live in central Pa. and i commute to Harrisburg everyday

Good luck with your new smoker and don't hestitate to ask for help on SMF there are plenty of us with an opinion that may either get you some good food or get you in trouble.
 
Welcome SAS! You are right about a couple of things for sure. This is a great site and if you are new in the sandbox it is always good to bring toys for everyone to play with.
