Greetings from North Kansas City, Missouri. I purchased my first grill, a Char-Griller, off of Craigslist about a year ago. My wife and I used it for direct heat grilling last summer, however, beginning this spring I've made the leap into smoking meats, mostly loin-back ribs so far. I started by building small charcoal fires at one end of the grill and placing the meat on the cooler end with the stock setup, which went very well.?A couple of weeks ago I found someone selling the SFB attachment on Craigslist and added that. I started searching these forums and have made most of the suggested mods. I still need to see about sealing up the lids land adding new thermometers, but I'll have to see how things go with the current setup. So far I have a little over $100 put into this thing and I don't want to let my first setup to get too expensive.
