I stumbled across this forum and have been reading all the past postings from other people. What a great bunch of knowledge that I've tempted to try making a reverse smoker as well. I found a 80 gallon air compressor tank dated back from 1947. It measures 65 inches wide and 20 inches deep. I cut the FB one third in and one third up. Is that a little too much cutting in? Sorry the title of the thread should say and loving it! :)

The tank measures 20" ID and the cut is 19" OD wide. Do you think I took too much metal off?
