Hello!

My family and I just moved to KC from West Michigan. All my life I've been a griller and being around all this BBQ talk has peaked my interest enough to see what it's all about. So far so good!

Early this summer I purchased a Brinkmann Trailmaster Limited from the Home Depot. My original intent was to purchase something cheaper to try it out and see if it was enjoyable. However, when I went to the store I couldn't help but notice how flimsy they were. Then I happened upon the floor model of the Trailmaster and upgraded to that!

So far we're loving the Smoking lifestyle! I've cooked pork butts, loin, ribs, chicken and ham on the the smoker. All are turning out great. I've had a lot of fun doing it and my family and friends all look forward to coming over for dinner.

Thanks for all your replies. It's nice to see a good community out here!

I should also add that I'm a big fan of the tender ways that the smoke makes the meat. I was born without a sense of smell and taste, so I have to rely heavily on the texture and moistness of the meat. My wife and son love the flavor of the smoked food, but I am in it for the texture!
