Hello all, I have been looking for a BBQ community and stumbled across this site. I am looking forward to discovering a lot of new techniques.

What directed me to this website was a google search to find a new smoker. Currently I have been using a Brinkman offset which I have found to be quite inefficient. Though with many modifications it has become much better, I still find it hard to keep steady temperature and it is a fuel hog. What is worse than that, I get temperature spikes which has been making my ribs come out a bit dry. I am looking for a new smoker possibly a vertical WSM but I still would like to do some more research and any advice would be well received.

Take care!
