Howdy, I'm Brett. I live in western Wisconsin with my wife and 2 stepdaughters.

My mom always had me do the grilling (on a gas grill) because I enjoyed it and I was less likely to burn stuff.

Later, I had a roommate who taught me some things about grilling with charcoal which tastes way better than gas!

When I married my current wife, we bought a Master Forge charcoal grill that has an adjustable fire tray with some of our wedding money. My family calls me "the Grill Master" but really I'm just a novice.

I joined this forum so I could learn more about smokin'. Rumor has it that my wife may be getting me an electric smoker for Christmas! So I'm doing my research. So far I'm really leaning toward the Smokin-It #2.

I'm looking forward to learning from all you enthusiasts!

God bless, and happy smoking!
