Hello everyone. My name is Donnie and I'm new to this forum. I currently live in Morgan City, Louisiana and just purchased my very first smoker. (MES40 Gen.2) I ran across this site yesterday by accident looking for something else completely; and have already been amazed at the amount of information and sincerity I've received thus far. I just stopped by to say hey, and thank you very much. This forum is awesome.

Welcome Donnie, you are correct this is a great site.  You can find information on all things smoke and much more.  In fact, I am pickling eggs using a recipe found here.  I made sausage chicken gumbo last night from a recipe found here.  If you have questions or problems post them here and someone will come along to help.

Donnie,
Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it. Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with their opinion on the subject.
Always remember the only dumb question is the one you don’t ask!!
Keep Smokin!!!
