Hi out there my name is dave or (dave8527) I live in Virginia, just finished building a custom smoker/ grill. My two sons and I took a 500 gal propane tank cut one end off and added a 48 inch warmer box with a 12 inch fire box under the warmer oh and the boxes are 48 inch's wide, think big, build bigger. Then we welded a plate in the middle of the tank, half smoker/ half grill. Then we gas fired the whole thing, two 55000btu burners in the fire box, we made 2- 1/4 inch thick boxes for wood that slide in over the burners for smoke, the we put 2 36 inch tube burners in the smoker side, we ran 2- 4 inch pipes from the fire box into the other end of the smoker with the stack on the box end ( reverse flow) then we ran 4- 36 inch tube burners in the grill side with two stacks to vent, the grill side will get up to 500 in just a matter oh min. hot hot hot. we made a gas manifold that feeds all the burners, each burner has it's own regulater with a shut off on each burner, so total control over the heat, works great. We used 2- 2000 lb atv winches to open the doors, just push the button," sigh" my finger get's so tired . I will try and post some pictures soon , I almost forgot we are putting 4- 500 watt lights around the whole thing soon. we have cooked on this monster 4 times and it just don't get any better than this. We fired this cooker up 4 times before we cooked on it for 4 hrs each time, it used half a 20lb gas bottle each time with all 7 burners running on low. Ok got to go for now, any questions or comments let them fly later dave

Think big build bigger
