My name is David and i am currently overseas in Israel. Im originally from AZ and i cant wait to set foot back home in august and start smoking some meat. If youre wondering there isnt much in terms of smoked meat here in Israel like we know it back home in the states. Dont get me wrong i love the food over here, but man some good bbq isnt something ive had over here.

I dont know much, but i am excited to learn. I grew up with charcoal BBQs and im excited to pick up a basic smoker once im stateside. Any help on a basic one to start looking at or just any advice in general is much appreciated!

David

Hey there AZ Wannabe.....

Hello from Phoenix.  I am a relative newbie here myself...... I got interested in this web site after I bought my Masterbuilt Dual Fuel Vertical Smoker at the Local Home Depot.  I love it.  I have done a couple of small things to it....but otherwise it is working pretty much right out of the box (well after I assembled it - which was pretty easy).

This is a great forum....and while I don't post a lot...I sure am learning a lot.

Have a safe trip back to the states (Arizona) of course coming back at the height of the monsoon season !!!!

Take care,
