Hi everyone. Awesome forum. I got myself a shiny new Browning Smoke Vault 24 for Christmas. The first run of ribs last weekend was awesome. Gonna chunk some more in today for the game tonight. I look forward to talking to some fellow smoke heads and swapping stories, ideas, recipes, blunders, screw ups, and successes. Wish me luck on smokin' in the Alabama snow storm of 2010 and Roll Tide.

John

Welcome to the SMF, and congrats on your new smoker. The game is just a matter of hours away... and I'm going to quit working around 4 pm (home), put the game on and just chill.

Welcome to the forum. That's an excellent smoker. You're going to love it.

How to post Qview to Forum:

When you uploading to Photobucket I always use the Large IMG setting, 640 x 480 it is a nice size...

Everyone here enjoys seeing the Qview so be sure to post plenty of pics...

Hello John and welcome to SMF - glad to have you with us - good luck tonite

Welcome to SMF . I see the welcome mat has been extended . HOOK'EM HORNS ! Win lose or draw our teams made the dance and someone's didn't .

Welcome to the forum. I want to say HOOK EM, (cause my inner Gator won't allow me to say **** ****) but I want the championship to remain in the SEC so I will be pulling for Bamma. You should knock off early and toss some yard bird in the smoker and enjoy a great game...

Greetings from Louisiana. Even tho' I've been a meat smoker for several years -- I just recently discovered this great site.
I received a Cajun Injector electric smoker for Christmas -- and already had a Brinkmann electric and a Brinkmann charcoal. Grilling is done on a Kingsford charcoal kettle grill or a Holland Companion electric. I haven't used the new Cajun Injector yet.
I've signed up for Jeff's course and I love picking up tips and techniques from you members of the -- Order of the Thin Blue Smoke. You folks are great.
Even tho' I'm a died in the wool .. avid and rabid LSU and Saints fan -- I'll be cheering for Alabama in the big game. After all --- SEC is thicker than blood.
I am honored to join you. Thanks -- Randy in Monroe, Louisiana. Retired: age 69.

Welcome to the site and may the title stay where it belongs in the SEC . You have yourself a really nice smoker there and I hope you will enjoy it too. I just love mine and my Gator too but for this Game it's ROLL TIDE all the way.

Welcome. Bama played great tonight. Wonder what would have happened if Colt wasn't hurt early............

Oh well. We made the dance.

Great folks here and lots of great information. Ask all the questions you want to. Somebody will have the answers.

Always glad to have another Tide fan in the presence of the Forum. Stay a while and peek around a bit. Lots here to help ya make a better smoke!

Roll Tide Roll!!

Well of course, the game was awesome. And yes, I would like to have seen the outcome with McCoy in the game, but I will certainly take it. It has been a long and painful dry spell. The ribs were fantastic. The neighbors could not get enough of the pigcicles. I can't believe how much I am diggin' on the propane smoker. You can't go wrong when you can that easily control the temp when it is 25 degrees out and snowing.

Anyway, may do a butt tomorrow. If I do, I will definitely put up the Qview.
