Hi, I love to cook and smoke meat and have just recently moved to Colorado Springs. First question I have is does anyone know some good stores in the Colorado Springs/Denver area? When I moved I gave my smoker to a friend as it was time for a new one. I've been researching different types but I think its equally important to find a good place to purchase from and am hoping to get some recommendations for my area of the country.

Best regards, Tomski

Good evening and welcome to the forum, from a nice warm day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Welcome to southern Colorado!

I've been getting my supplies from the new Bass Pro.  They have a wider version of my Masterbuilt Dual Fuel that I've had my eye on.  For meat, my in-laws have been loyal to Andy's Meat market on Platte...for good reason.

Be sure to head out to Rudy's for inspiration every once in a while!

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll certainly check out Andy's on Platte. I'm closing on a house in April so I will finally have the room to replace my old Masterbuilt vertical gas smoker. I'm in the research phase for my next one and like the idea of pellet but am not sold as I'm seeing in the forum that a lot of folks compensate with a smoke tube. I own one and could do this but it seems to defeat the purpose of a smoker having to compensate for it. I love the convenience factor however. Also looking at egg alternatives as I've seen these work as well and wouldn't mind trying my hand at charcoal. I have a small electric dedicated to Salmon, an Orion that is dedicated to poultry. I even have a "Big Easy" infrared fryer given to me as a gift that's fun to cook in. I can't seem to get enough. I just need that next pork and beef smoker. I love smoking ribs and won a competition in the last town I lived in. Just up against the locals but it was a blast so I wouldn't mind trying that again if anyone knows of competitions local to Colorado Springs. I haven't been to Rudy's yet but I've been to "The Dive" and had an awesome Brisket basket there. I've also been to "Front Range BBQ" on Colorado Ave but I thought my ribs were better.
