El paso texas
Hello out there... After checking back from time to time and reading threads I've decided to join this group of Bbq Enthusiasts! I'm the head pitmaster with Smokin' Eatz Bbq  in El Paso, Texas. Still pretty new to the Bbq circuit but I have a heart for this and I love to smoke. I started out with a masterbuilt electric... then realized I wanted "bigger".. got myself an Oklahoma joe longhorn and starting logs and improving my methods and such. Entered my first contest this past October, competing in KCBS backyard category and took first place in ribs, third place in chicken, at the Bliss Brews and Que in El Paso, Tx...Ive been hooked since that day. I love the competition atmosphere! nothing like the smell of pork and beef smoke at 4 in the morning over a cup of coffee. And the camaraderie between contestants is great. Everyone was willing to talk and give advice. I'm here to stay. I've already registered for my first pro competition of the year...The Sams Club national bbq tour... and im already eyeing a few other events this year.
