New to smoking

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and to smoking. Cooking some wings right now. It's like the fourth time I have smoked. So far everything has turned out OK. I'm from west central Ohio, right on I-75. I hope to find some goods pointers and recipes on this site. I'm looking to possibly get Jeff's book as a tool also. I'll be looking forward to reading a lot of the threads on here, mainly pork and chicken.

Welcome from SC, Dave. This is a great site. There are lots of really good folks here who are always eager to share their ideas and tips. All you have to do is ask and keep reading.

You already have Jeff's book. Take a look at the e course. It's a great way to get off on the right foot. Also, Jeff's rub and sauce recipes are great. They are very user friendly and can be tweaked to suit your personal taste. The proceeds from the recipes are used to maintain and support this site.

By the way, I have a Masterbuilt digital electric smoker. So far it has worked very well.

We just finished some chicken wings and they turned out well. I looked at the e course that I downloaded when I joined the forum. There was a lot of good information in there. I believe I will be ordering Jeff's recipes. I like the fact that it helps for the support and his recipes always has great reviews.
