Hey my name is Tim and I am from Texas. I got a masterbilt electric smoker for Christmas so this is going to be very helpful! I love to grille and I'm looking forward to changing it up! I have never smoked meat before so I'm looking forward to all the tips and suggestions. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum and the world of smoking. The first tip I and most of all of us would give you is to get a good two probe thermometer. The built-in thermometers in new smokers are almost always off. Some report 50* or more. Knowing the correct temp of the smoker at grill level and the internal temperature of the meat is very important to successful smokes.

Don't forget the unlimited information available using the search bar up top. If you don't find what you want, just ask.

Now get that new masterbilt seasoned and get to cooking.
