My name is Nick and I live in Central NJ.

I just got a Masterbuilt 30" Electric Smoker from Lowes for my 1st Father's Day!

I have no idea what I am doing with a smoker, I know my way around a grill but this will be all new.

Just getting into this for BBQs with friends and family.

I plan on making BB Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork and Chicken Breast. Not much seafood.

My goal isnt to have the best smoked meats in town, but I want everything to be flavorful and tender.

I don't want to over do the smoke flavor, I wanna taste the rubs and meat too.

Thanks for any advice in advance!! Very excited for this whole thing!

Welcome Nick and congrats on your 1st Father's Day and the new smoker!  Lots of folks here with your gear so you'll be making "the best smoked meats in town" before you know it.  Each type and cut of meat has it's own little quirks but they are easy to master.

Have fun and enjoy the learning curve!
