Hello. New to smoking but experienced in eating. Just starting out and was researching what smoker to purchase as a beginner and found this site. Forums helped out a lot. I purchased a Brinkman Trailmaster this past Christmas and been learning ever since. Live in North Florida so plenty of time all year tp keep practicing.

Just joined the forum a few minutes ago and look forward to sharing information.  I've purchased a Masterbuilt 40" electric smoker and am getting ready to try it out for the first time and smoke a tri tip. I found a good rub/recipe online at jennsprintablerecipes I live just outside of Annapolis, MD and hope to use the smoker year round.

I do have a question about the smoker.  Even though I bought a cover for it, is it advisable to store the smoker in my garage when I'm not using it?  I'm a bit leery about moisture damage to the controls if I keep it outside.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards,

Pat
