My name is Jeremy and I just bought a Masterbuilt Extra Wide Propane Smoker.  I have helped my dad a few times smoke some ribs and pork shoulders, but planning on trying my self over this coming weekend.  I am from Dayton TN so the weather  should be fine. I am currently reading the ecourse and have seen smoking done a few times. Hoping to gather enough information to make some good meat.  All information so far has been very useful.

Jeremy - you might want to do a search at the top for your smoker to get some helpful hints on how to use and any modifications that are suggested

I am planning on smoking this weekend with my new Masterbuilt XL propane.  I just got it together last week.  Is there some kind of seasoning I need to do before I actually put meat in this smoker.  Again I am new to smoking.  Also I have seen a lot on Mods to this smoker involving wood pan and the water pan, any suggestions there?

First off welcome to SMF there Jeremy. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.

Welcome To Your New Addiction

Ribs and butt turned out GREAT!  Used the rub I bought off of here. Pictures will follow once I figure out how to put them on here.
