I had a smoked Turkey a few years ago and have always wanted to have another one.  I was real nervous in purchasing a smoker and finally took the leap of faith.  There were so many out there i just couldn't choose, but I finally purchased a Master built 40" electric smoker last Saturday. On Sunday, I smoked about 5 lbs of chicken thighs. My wife said they were excellent, and she is very picky when it comes to food.  I found a site called smoke-meat.com and this site was extremely helpful in giving a newbie like me some guidance in smoking.  I am very excited about this and look forward to sharing with everyone my future experiments and experiences.

This weekend i am going to try and smoke a whole Chicken and a rack of ribs.  I hope they come out as good os the Chicken thighs. any and all advice is welcome!

kitty, I will go ahead and warn you, this habit is EXTREMELY addicting. I only did it about 8 times last summer/fall, but now I am officially hooked. I'm actually going to be smoking some this Saturday.

What kind of rack of ribs are you talking about doing?

Welcome Kitty!  Hi, my name is Don and I am a bbq addict!
