Hey everyone I have been lurking on the forum for about a week and decided to join the group. I am new to smoking sort of I have a big pit that was made from old oilfield pipe but it has no fire box on it so I cook South Texas style mesquite coals well below the meat. Lots of work but it is a great afternoon. I am purchasing MES 40 from SAM's this week and cant wait to play with it. I mainly cook brisket and pork ribs but plan on trying pulled pork soon.

Welcome to SMF you'll find lots of good info here and some great recipes as well. Congrats on the new smoker purchase. Have fun and happy smoking

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new smoker. If you can do brisket and ribs, you can certainly do pulled pork. Don't forget, we like Qview.

Sounds like you're going to fit right-in with the SMF. It's all good my friend.

Welcome!!

Pulled Pork I think is the easest to do, however it is the longest from start to finish for me.

Did I say WELCOME?

From one noob to another, Welcome. You will receive so much great info it will make your head spin. I'm kind of an organization freak, and I was getting so much great info. that I started a file.

Thanks everyone I usually stay away from forums but I love to BBQ so i could not resist this one. I should be seasoning in the new MES this weekend as long as mother nature dosn't ruin all of my fun. Maybe even get in some spareribs on Sunday. Then if it is up to me I will smoke meat and cigars everyweekend after that.
