Hello all, I'm new to smoking. My name is Nathan and I'm from Butler, Pa just north of Pittsburgh. I recently purchased a 18" Smokey Mountain Cooker. I've pretty much always baked my ribs in the oven and cooked my pork butts in a crockpot. I thought I'd give smoking a try.

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums. http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/a/terms-of-service

LOL.... its an addiction, you walk in the store and head straight to the meat counter then ask the butcher what is a good deal for smoking today! Its legal, its fun, you can drink cold beer while doing it, and you can eat all your mistakes?  How can it be bad!
