Hi everyone! Im 21 years old, work as a hydraulic/ pneumatic technician in OKC, and I love food :drool. I purchased the weber 22.5" gold a few weeks ago and I love it! Direct heat Grilling on it is a breeze, smoking is going to take a little practice though lol I smoked bacon wrapped hot dogs the other night to see how much of a challenge it was going to be to control the temp and It wasn't hard at all. Smoking my first rack of pork spare ribs tomorrow and I can't wait!

Welcome to SMF and sounds like you are off and running! Post your rib cook in the pork forum when you do it and and post some pics of your smoker and food as you prep etc. We love pics here at SMF.

Also, in your profile, add your location so we all know where you're from! (OKC is OK City, but if you post it in your profile, it shows on every post!)

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us! Would you mind updating your profile to show the other SMF members where you are located?  Might meet some neighbors!

You should sign up for Jeff's Free 5 day E-Course, and it's great!  This is chock full of great information....no matter what your experience level might be!

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per Jeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!
