Hi my name is Alan I'm from Aurora, IL a western suburb of Chicago! Just bought my first smoker! It's not an expensive one,got it on sale for $100,figure it's a good starter for me! It's a Brinkmann offset smoker/charcoal grill! I'm open to any tips/tricks anybody would like to share, I could use all the tips I can get lol! Thanks!
 
Welcome to the board, Alan! Use the Search to look up your smoker and see what people do with it. Right now I'm dealing with all this rain you sent me.

Welcome from SC, Alan. All you need to do is ask and there are lots of folks who are eager to share their ideas, tips, recipes and anything else that you need. A good way to manage temps in your offset is to manage the fire. There are several videos on fire management that are very good. Good luck, Joe
