Greetings all,

I am new to smoking (this was my 16yo daughter's idea - she is experimenting with rubs and sauces) so we are building a Big Baby that should be running by Labor Day.  I pastor a small church, so this may be a "holy" smoker before this is over if I get good enough.

.

I have a neighbor who is a KCBS judge, and a couple friends who are helping with the build.  I'm looking forward to learning more about the process, and smoking a turkey and some ribs.  I can't wait

Well Hey Pastor Roy, welcome to SMF.  Sounds like you'll be feeding your family and flock yumminess in no time flat.  The Big Baby is a great design.  You have a smart daughter!

Enjoy the project and keep us posted on that first smoke.

I had to google big baby smoker but that looks awesome! Please include pics of your build! I have two empty 55 gallon drums sitting out behind my garage so depending on the skillset it takes to do this I might make one myself...

it is off to the sandblaster and good things have already happened.  A guy at church had a cherry tree blow down in a storm  :)

Then a neighbor cut down a hickory tree and asked if I wanted it.  Duh!

I can't wait!
