I've been using Jeff's rub for quiet some time now and really enjoy his newsletters and recipes, the website is my go to for ideas.

I need to reduce salt and sugar and thought this would be the place to get ideas.  I'm planning to use Morton Lite Salt and the Splenda/Brown Sugar blend.  Any thoughts or suggestions?

Welcome from Northern California. I personally use small amount of coffee grounds to add a distinct flavor on some of my meats. Got that from pitmaster. (Big Mo) you can always check out the Yawye group. Dedicated to a more natural healthier way of smoking and keeping flavor.

Hello and welcome from East Texas. Mrs Dash makes a pretty good seasoning without salt, and  use a little honey or honey powder
