Howdy, Bigdaddy 1948 here from Missouri. Been smoking a bit for the past 20 or so years, nothing much to speak of though, mostly small stuff. Trout, Bonita, and a few other fish as well as a few roasts and other red meat, Pork tenderloin (one of our favorites) a bit of venison summer sausage and venison sticks as well as jerky. Started with a Little Chief and then Big Chief by Leur Jensen now using a Masterbuilt, like it because of ease of use and temp control. I grew up in California, South Bay near LAX. Spent some time in Nor Cal as a kid and moved to Missouri in 2000 after retiring from Chevron Refining in El Segundo, CA. I am an avid fisherman, hunter, and archer. Did a lot of upland hunting before moving here (lack of birds), as well as waterfowl, deer, hog and many other species. Got heavy into bow hunting here in MO, plenty of opportunities on both Deer and Turkey. Been teaching Hunter Ed since the 70's and actively support our hunting heritage. Married to a wonderful lady that supports my outdoor adventures whole heartedly, but doesn't participate herself. Found this site kind of by accident while searching for some recipes and it seems to fit the notch I was looking for pretty well. Hope to meet some others with like interests and make a few friends in the process. Thanks for the add.

We're glad to have you here. The search bar at the top is your most valuable resource here. This forum has been around for over ten years, so there is a good chance that any questions you may have, have already been answered (they may have 10 different answers, but you'll get an instant response non the less).
Please be sure to post your smokes along with your process and recipes. We will be glad to help you along the way and we may also learn something new ourselves in the process. Also, don't forget the very important Q view! (We're mad for pics on here [emoji]128513[/emoji])
Always remember to have fun because it's not fun if you have to work at it. Thanks for joining,
