Hello I'm from Ontario, Canada. I have been interested in the art of smoking for a very long time now. Especially being here, there is a very very limited amount of BBQ restaurants in the area and very few (actually none) restaurants that smoke meat. I can't even find an individual in the area that know's anything about smoking or has even attempted. So I'm about to break the mold and try to give it a shot! I look forward to searching out all the info i can find. I found some info online about it and did give it a shot a few days ago. Had some rough patches and some things that didn't go as planned, but I look forward to bouncing the idea's off of you experts in hopes of working out the kinks. Go figure, I didn't find out about this forum until AFTER I tried it lol.

I don't have an actual charcoal smoker yet (which is my goal) as my backyard is very very small so it'll have to wait for now. Plus there's not alot of them in the area for sale. I'm using my gas grill with a smoker box. I am also on day 1 of the ecourse so I'm looking forward to finishing it. Thanks, and I look forward to learning from you all!

Welcome to SMF glad you decided to join us. You'll find lots of good info and some great recipes here. You may also find some people in your area that smoke we have lots of members from all over. Have fun and happy smoking

There are lots of people who are here to help you with any questions you man have. So ask away. Also there is a ton of information on this site if you can cruise through a bunch of posts and read up. Once you start pumping out some good Q you will never look at that BBQ joint the same. I can't really even eat BBQ around here any more because they just don't add up any more. You will have all of you neighbors drooling in no time and you will have to start smoking extra stuff because they will all be coming over when they smell the smoke. haha Good luck and welcome to the forum!
