Moved to Texas five years ago and became an immediate fan of Texas BBQ.  I think Texas BBQ is the best in the country!!!  I've tried most of the "Top," BBQ joints around Texas...A couple local favorites are Opie's in Spicewood and City Market in Luling.  There are more famous in Austin but these are a couple dives I enjoy.

I just bought a pellet smoker to go along with my wood pit.  I have three boys so I'm hoping it does the job as I don't always have a day to fire up the pit.

Welcome from SC. It's good to have you here on this great site. You are currently living in Texas, so I can understand your nievete. When yo can get your wits about you, try some SC Barbeque. Then you will know what good BBQ actually tastes like. LOL

Good luck and good smokin', Joe
