Hi, my name is Susan from Mesa, AZ. I just bought an electric smoker and used once to smoke salmon. Pleased with the results, but am clueless where to go from here. Would love to know about a book that addresses electric smokers specifically, if there is one available.

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum, from a very nice and cool day in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of                    information on just about  everything.

You are in the right place, look through the different forums and post, ask all the questions you need to

Hi Susan Welcome to SMF check out the Electric smokers forum and the MES forum lots of great info

Yes, I mean....there are books available, start with the Library if possible, as I did. Truthfully, the 'search bar' above is your best, greatest learning tool anywhere IMO. Whatever you want to smoke or grill just type it in and dozens of posts will show up, most with pictures, to help guide you and to use as a reference. Start a folder on your desktop and start copy & pasting recipes in it for future use. Trust me, you're 'to do' list will get long as you see things you must make. Pork butts are a very forgiving meat to start with, as is some chicken, like quarters. Not a very expensive loss IF you make a mistake. A member by name of BearCarver has numerous step by step tutorials for various cuts and he uses an electric smoker. So, you're off to a good start...just do some research here and you'll be smoking up a storm......HTH, Willie

Hi Susan, welcome to the forum. Lots of great info and great folks here. You won't find a book that has more recipes, info, tricks and tips than you can find right here. And there isn't a book out there that can answer a question for you in the middle of your cook like you can right here. Just ask and you'll get all the help you need. Welcome aboard, you'll be smoking like a pro in no time.

Hi Susan,
Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it. Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with there opinion on the subject.
Always remember the only dumb question is the one you don’t ask!!
Keep Smokin!!!

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.

We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
Happy smoken.
