Hi, my name is John and I live in Lee's Summit, Mo. I have been looking at the forum info for several years and have decided to join. I currently have an original Oklahoma Joe's 1/4" steel stick burner and an MES 30" with window. I started doing some smoking with my OKJ about 25 years ago but have found a new interest after retiring and having more time. My MES heating unit died last week and I called Masterbuilt customer service today. They will ship a new part at no charge. Pleasant surprise. I like to use the MES for small quick cooks because it is less work. However, I like the flavor from my OKJ better. I'm looking forward to contributing and learning from your experience.
