New Smokin Okie here

Well, i've been smokin for a few years on a cheapo Lowes Charbroil smoker and now that the firebox has rotted away i've decided to build a monster(for me that is). I'm upgrading to a 250 gal 30 inch dia. main smoker body. I have a few questions that I have asked in the build section. I am also torn on wether or not to go reverse flow? I think i've decided that steel prices will limit me to a conventional smoker. I plan on mounting it on a 5x10 tilt trailer that I never use because, well.. this thing is gonna weigh a ton when it's done! I look forward to all the help I can get from this site!

First off welcome Geno to SMF. You will learn to like this place for there are allot of really good folks here that would do help you with anything to do with smoking. You'll fine alot of good  and proven recipes here also. I would also recommend that you sign up for the E-course it's free and it will give you the basics of smoking and some good techniques also. So go grab your butt and get to smoking and then don't forget the pictures (Q-view) here so we can enjoy your smoke with you.

 Please get w/ some of the folks that have built the 250 and get some answers.

My only concern w/ not going reverse flow would be the grate level heat difference between the fire box end and the exhaust end.
