New smoker

Hey guys I'm bamajeffe and just bought my first smoker! I know I will probably catch some flack for this but it's an electric masterbuilt...just thought I would try the easier version before building my own smoker. I live in Huntsville Alabama (Roll Tide) and my wife and I just had our first child! I also have a 6 year old stepson which is one of the reasons I chose the electric smoker. We are constantly on the go to the ballpark, grandparents house, friends houses, and pretty much anywhere else we can think of...so I thought electric would be best so I don't have to tend it so often. I'm seasoning it right now and hope to do my first butt on Wednesday so any advice you guys could give would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
