Hello everyone I am from Wisconsin and I am new to smoking I bought my first one yesterday and I'm about to use it now. It is lower end and an electric one it is a cook master By master built. I am smoking baby backs. And using apple wood chips. The bag doesn't say anything about the chips being wet inside the pan. Any thoughts????

Welcome RICO24!  Congrats on the new smoker.  I don't have an electric but I'm sure someone will be along in a minute to help out with the wood question.  I've soaked chips in the past on charcoal and gas and found the soaking to be a waste of time.  All it does is delay the onset of smoke.  Can't say on an electric though.

Have fun with your first smoke!

Hello, welcome to the forum, Don't have an electric but I think most who do prefer dry
