Northeast Florida
New smoker here, my name is Jim and want to say hi to all, been enjoying reading all your posts.

I'm an Old Cape Codder now living in Northeast Florida and 75 years old.

After researching smokers I bought the

Masterbuilt 30" Electric Smoker Model 20070411 with window and remote.

As I said I'm new to smoking so if I ask some stupid questions in the future bare

with me I'm a old man trying to learn the art of smoking and from reading all the posts you all

have the knowledge.

The smokers temperatures where I'll be mostly cooking I

tested the smoker temperature with my Maverick Remote Thermometer ET-73

masterbuilt smoker temperatures were about 5-7 degrees higher at different temperatures

but all in all just fine.

Plenty big enough as there's just two of us

Shipping was excellent, no damage or missing parts and was

easy to put together 20 minutes.

Everything seems to be working just fine.

The wood chips start smoking just fine at low temperature 175*.

I read in posts that they don't at low temperature, but mine seems ok.

Seasoned it but haven't done any food yet, will be soon. Looking forward to

making and smoking some Pastrami soon.

Made 2 sausage holders of 3/4" oak dowel as I plan on smoking

some Lingucia sausage after I learn a little more.
