Well, it's been raining all winter and I hardly had a chance to get outside so far this year, but now got my self a Brinkmann Trailmaster LE.

Previously, I had a brick built (my own bad handywork) BBQ with a slotted in 4 wide gas BBQ/Grill.  Left side open grill with lava rocks, right side flat grill.

The weekend before last I had my last gas BBQ, then smashed up the brick barbie and hauled the bricks away.

This weekend just gone, I built and then cured in my TMLE - ready for some smoking in the months to come this year.

I'm also kicking myself for throwing away that old grill plate as it would have been perfect as a heat deflector.

some mods to come, but my next few weekends are booked up and these things need time.

(Something I might miss from the Gas Barbie, being able to just go turn on and start cooking in a few mins)

I hope the chimney starter I just picked up will mean I could potentially use the firebox grill side if an urgent burger is needed sometime.

Nice to meet y'all.
