Hi y'all,

I a smoking newbie in Columbus.  For Christmas I got a Weber SMC 18.5''.  So far, I've done 4 smokes:  1 with good results (pork butt and chicken), 1 with awful results (brisket point), and two with decent but not great results (brisket flat and ribs).

I'm looking forward to learning a lot from everyone here!

You will find a lot of great info here, while meeting a great group of SMF members.

Hey everyone. Been a member for a while but I've always sat on the sidelines and read what everyone had to say without saying much. There are so many cool things on the site and I've learned a lot.

I agree also, Lots of great info here and it's a little overwhelming for me at times. Don't be afraid to ask a question if you have trouble with finding what you're looking for? I been slowly finding out for myself there is a lot of friendly SMF members here who are more than will to help answer your question or get you pointed in the right direction.

Thanks, guys! I'm looking forward to learning from everyone here, and enjoying the community.

I'm doing a smoke tomorrow, so I'll try to put up some pics.

I will be looking forward to your pics, I am just finishing up on my 2nd batch of Bacon and was going to try and post also. My setup is nothing special, more of a WIP cold smoker conversation piece than anything, an old vintage 1950's refrigerator with a few mods.  I have yet to receive any complaints from the peanut gallery on any meat that has been inside of it for a few hours !
