new smoker build

I've been building my own smoker. I have every thing done on it but seasoning it before the first use. The issue I'm having is the time/weather to sandblast the racks. Does anyone know if powder coating or ceramic coating would work. I have a blaster but just can't seem to get the time to get them done.

Welcome to the forum.  Do they need sand blasting or just burn them off and season real good. My racks are expanded metal and angle, we just burned them off real good and seasoned them up. Most of the time when I fire up my smoker I start it with my weed burner and go over the racks and inside of the Cook Chamber.
