Live in nw Minnesota, have done a lot of sausage making and smoking, grill a lot, have a Weber Kettle, electric smoker, Weber gas, looking at pellet grills.

Welcome to SMF! I'm sure you'll find this site very informative and the members here more than welcome to answer any questions you might have.
I am a pellet smoker owner and personally would never go back to a stick burner just because I like to do other things while dinner is cooking. In other words put your food on and forget it.
I own an MES40 and an Englanders Smoke-n-Sear, former owner of a Traeger. The SnS is my main smoker and grill because it has the direct and indirect cooking sides. It is a carbon copy of the Fast Eddie Cookshack model PG500 minus the stainless.
As far as you looking at pellet grills there are many types and sizes. Since you say you grill a lot you would definitely want to consider one you can grill on. You will also need to take into consideration how many people you cook for which brings up size. You'll also want to consider ease of use. I don't know personally about some but have read that to grill on them you have to remove a deflector plate and add something else. I personally wouldn't like that. There is also another site I found that has many reviews including pellet usage at different temps including temp swings. That site is www.pelletheads.com
I do know that you should do your research before buying and all pellets are not created equal. If you have any questions please ask.
