Howdy folks.

I'm Keith (brockkl)

Started lurking today, as I was looking for info on a smoker I just bought. It's my 3rd one, I wore out 2 in the last 20+ years.

I picked up the Lowes Master Forge 2 door. First thing I noticed was the smoke (heat) leakage around the doors, and any other orifice. After reading here, I went out and bought a thermometer, and found mine was reading about 30 degrees lower than actual, after calibrating in in our digital oven. That 'splains why my London Broil was done so fast.

Good thing it's going to be jerky.

Thanks to the good info I found here, I will ruin less meat, and I already have the sealer I'll be using on the doors, if it ever cools off.
