Hello,
Just a quick note to introduce myself. I am an Iowa teacher. I live just a half hour north of Des Moines. I am an avid fisherman and gardener.
I stumbled upon this site trying to get some good info on gas and electric smokers. What a wealth of information. I really am impressed how willing people are to help each other out. I am looking forward to learning more. I have already gotten Jeff's 5 day course. Now I need to buy a smoker and get going. I am a "big-time" newbie and can use all the help I can get.

Welcome to the SMF from another Iowan! I'm over east of Marshalltown. I believe we have another Iowan from your town that pops in to the forum now and again....Foozer is his nic. Iowa is quickly becoming one of the more popular states here in the forums. Feel free to ask any and all questions you have.....as you've probably told your students.....the only dumb question, is the one you didn't ask.

Great bunch of people here! Hope to hear more from you, and see some Q-view of your BBQ exploits!

L8r,
Eric
