Hello I am new to the smoking world.  I am from Central Florida.  Bought a Masterbuilt 30 inch smoker for Christmas.  Have been making ribs, pulled pork, and jerky.  Need some help with the jerky.  How long should I cook it?  Any good advice?  Any other good tips for the 30 inch would be great.

Hello, Tuffy,  the best tip I could give anyone with an MES is to look into the A-MAZE-N-PELLET-SMOKER or AMNPS.

It's a pellet burning smoke generator that takes so much effort out of smoking, particularly for long cooks.

Glad to have you with us.

Hi Tuffy. Wrap your drip tray and your water pan in foil to make less clean-up work. Also find yourself a piece of tile to lay on top of your fire box to help even out the temps throughout your smoker. Good choice with the MES-30. I really love mine!

Hello Tuffy and Welcome to SMF. The advice on the AMNPS is going to help you with the jerky.

I suggest you post your jerky question in the making jerky section here on the forum with a little more detail in your question

Good luck and good smoking
