don't know what the hell to do with this website, just trying to get info from a 2007 blog about smoking pickles!

First off I don't think you can get something from back in 07. Now if you want to smoke pickles I'm sure you will find someone here that has smoked them. So kick back and read some threads and you'll like it here if you want to learn how to smoke meat.

Am I supposed to reply to myself? This is pretty silly!
Expecting a reply in 10 minutes between posts seems a bit demanding, maybe your expectations are a bit high?. How about an introduction, and some details about what you are ISO? I don't know what you were expecting, and I don't know what you're assuming. Let's talk.

Sorry, this is my first attempt at this kind of thing, and I don't know what to expect . . . patience, I guess.

Anyway, I have a small smoke products business, and am looking to create unusual smoked products. Smoked dill pickles is what I am trying now and was wondering if anyone had tried making them. I am trying some of my own ideas today (smoking garlic and chilis) but again just wondering if anyone had attempted this . . . . sounds great on a sandwich to me!

Welcome smokin mama2,

We have had many members smoke bulbs of garlic and smoked jalapenos are known as

chipotle peppers.

Now as for smoked pickles, Thats a new one for me. Maybe a good garlic dill smoked over pecan?

I actually sort of did this last week.  We make these things with pickle spears and wrap them with turkey slices and cream cheese.  I had finished a couple chickens and still had some good heat, so I was looking around for different stuff to smoke.  They did turn out pretty good.  A little wilted from the heat, but had enough smoke flavor to taste anyway.  Also threw a foil boat full of chex mix on.  That was pretty good too.  Just try it out...the worst that can happen is you throw out some pickles.

Welcome to SMF - glad to have you here. Good luck with the business
