What's up everybody! Name is Sean and I am from just outside of Nashville, TN (Smyrna). I have been grilling for a long time and just got into smoking about 4 yrs ago. I started on an UDS Brinkmann. Those were the rough days!! I then upgraded to a side firebox cooker. I have enjoyed it for the last two years and just recently purchased the kamado style Akorn grill. In the next year I plan to work with another buddy and nail some recipes to start competitions. We will stay local in the southeast. Any tips and advice are helpful!

Hello Sean, welcome to SMF, loads of information on here check out the different threads Good luck on the competing

You can find a lot of great ideas on just about anything you want to try in the posts. Just put the project (butts, ribs, chicken, etc) in the search bar at the top of the page and you will find a lot of posts on peoples' projects.

I look forward to your posts.

You have to become a "Premier" member which means you contribute financially to the site. It doesn't cost alot and considering the amount I have learned from this forum it is cheap!

If you want to learn more, search Premier Membership.
