Hi all,  I've been intrigued with smoking meat most of my adult life but have never made a serious attempt at it until now.  I was given an old Charbroil horizontal smoker that I promptly converted to a reverse smoker.  I've tried doing Baby Back ribs a couple times with OK results and would like to become more proficient at it before attempting anything more involved.  I would eventually like to make my own sausage and snack sticks.  Because I'm not 100% satisfied with the modified Charbroil, I've begun gathering materials to try to build my own smoker and I'm considering adding a propane burner to the cooking chamber to help stabilize the temperatures.  I've looked around the site a little and have already come across some good ideas and advice.  I'm looking forward to being a member and soaking up all of your advice and expertise.
