Welcome to SMF. There are a lot of very friendly & knowledgeable folks here to help you. I urge you to sign up for the free E-course. It will give you the basics, & even if you are an experienced smoker you may learn something new. Then start asking questions. Good luck & glad to have you aboard. Don't forget we all love Qview!

Thanks. I will check out the course. I am pretty much a novice even though I have been smoking stuff for 15 years. I do a lot of custom butchering and sausage making for local hunters and my family as well as fish, chickens, ribs, brisket etc but I want to try some cold smoking as well. My last smoker (15 years old) was an old chest freezer converted and it pretty much shot so I'm in the process of building a new from the scratch from the ground up. Its a fun project. I may post pictures.

Welcome to SMF - glad to have you here.  Would love to see some of you sausage skills
