Hello all.  I am from the suburbs of St. Paul/Minneapolis Minnesota.  I am new to both the forum, and meat smoking.  My wife surprised this past Christmas with a Bradley 4 rack digital smoker.  On the first warm March weekend, I fired up my smoker to attempt a 10 pound Boston butt.  It took 15 hours, and a bit of nail biting, but thanks to all the great tips from Jeff it turned out terrific.  I have a lot to learn, but am loving the learning process.  Looking forward to all of the great information on this forum.

Welcome to SMF and the new obsession. One of the toughest things to learn about smoking meat is patience.  With "set and forgets" the "forgets" part is always the challenge.  Glad your first butt turned out great.  Be sure to share what you smoke.  Even the most experienced of us love seeing what other folks do and more than once I've said "that's what I'll smoke this weekend" after seeing someone's post.

Have fun!
